Which printer is not a ink guzzler?

Post by lotus sutra » Tue, 24 Jun 2008 6:29 pm

I had one Canon printer BJC 240 which served me faithfully for ten years plus (bundled with PC). It is the most economical printer I came across. It's cartridge which cost abt $35/-, can last me for months. And I print a lot.

Now, I got myself a Brother DCP130 @ abt $150/-

(3 in 1 ). Bloody hell, it is an ink guzzler. The cartridge costs about $40/-

I thought abt selling it off and get a more economical printer like the BJC240 (acquired in '97).

Any recommendations will be much appreciated.

HP would be a brand name to consider, especially when you print black and white only. But if you want to print color, HP would be good as well.
