Lower Cost of Phone Bills

Post by hydkrash » Fri, 20 Jun 2008 6:59 pm

Does any one know if there is any provider that has a good working SMS service?

Most of the web SMS I have tried aren't working fully.
Hope you guys have suggestions, cos my phone bill was $700+ last month.

i think only singtel and starhub accepts free web sms.

i know singtel's on 20 texts/account. i registered for 2 accounts, but it's a hassle to logout/login.

i'm not sure how starhub works, but if i remember correctly, they don't require you to register for an account, so it's a strict 20 text limit.

if m1's still unchanged, it means they don't take web text msgs unless someone pays for it...

despite multipl accounts over-riding the limit of 20, singtel's web sms has delays when i use it.

At roughly 5 cent/SMS that mean $700 worth is 14,000 sms a month :o

Lets say you are awake 18hrs/per that mean you send on average 26 SMS an hour!!!

Well of course it snot SMS. But it did contribute a large amount to the bill.
Also I'm sending SMS overseas, so that should explain the cost.

Anyway, I found this company Chawt. http://www.chawt.com
They basically allow you to send SMS overseas and its free...only problem is its 80 characters per message and theyu append an ad at the end of your message.
Well, can't really complain much since its free.
