Foreigner giving birth in singapore

Post by libin4u2000 » Wed, 18 Jun 2008 10:53 am

HI, We are indian couple in Singapore with EP. We are planning to apply for PR now. I just want to know , what are the advantages/dis-advantages of giving birth in singapore ?

Is there some exceptions/relaxations for child delivered in Singapore ? Does the school fees or other thigs have some deductions ?

Please need advice.

As an EP holder? None except that the hospitals are pretty good here.

No exceptions/relaxations. Sorry

If you are PR and your child is a boy and you make him PR too then he has to do national service which s not necessarily a bad thing

Depends on your country citizenship rules.

My wife and I are both British, but both born outside of the UK, which means if we had a child in Singapore the kid will not be entitled to British citizenship, or Singapore citizenship, so she would be born "without a state".
