Hey SMS, interested to know how to get on this diet thing. Did a similar one before (low carbs, no pills) and it did work, however I have lost contqact with the doctor who got me started on it...

Need to shed off quite a bit of weight as the BP is going up a bit.... Would be good if you could send me a PM with some details...

Is this the XXXXX diet SMS? The reason I ask is that I just saw you'd posted on one of their forums (I'm not stalking you .............honest  )

My friend has done it this year - she started in January and she's half the woman she was now. I'm very envious of her (in a good way!) but I don't think I've got the willpower to do as well as she has done (or you).

I seem to remember you doing Atkins years ago - how did that go for you? I find that Atkins can work but only for those who stick to it and again, lack of willpower on my part meant I didn't!

Yes it is, and no I never did the Atkins diet. Worked superbly for me and I don't regret a cent of it. I researched them all until I found something that was doable without side effects, pills, wraps, special foods, yadda, yadda, yadda. I'm a couple of kilo over my ideal weight at the moment but it's coming off nicely (I just got back from 3 weeks down home on the farm in cooler weather and a Mom who makes me eat my meals! A class reunion didn't help either!)

Ah, I must be getting you confused with someone else who did Atkins.

XXXXX's does seem expensive here in Singapore - my friend told me that it was about $500 cheaper to do in Australia, which is why I'd have to be sure I had the willpower. I might just experiment first with a few of the dishes I've read about and see if I think I could do it for the 6 months or whatever it is that you need to dedicate yourself to.

In Aus you have to pay for all of your blood tests, here it's part of the package. Makes a difference.

Oh OK, now that makes sense.

what kind of things do you have for breakfast? She said she has yoghurt and fruit nearly every day, but I'm not much of a fruit fan so that kind of thing every day would have me reaching for the toaster before the week was out!
