Anyone interested in joining me for a 2 - 3 week trip to Eastern Europe? Or even just joining in some countries? Strange request, but my guidebook says Eastern Europe not the best place for a single female traveller, which is how i prefer to travel.
Going in July. Starting in Prague, on to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia. OR does anyone know of a travel agent who actually deals with eastern europe??
Beginning to think my best option would be to fly to London, then join a tour from there. Not keen on tours, but also a little apprehensive about travelling alone for 3 weeks.

Check the Trade wind tour agency, they do eastern europe, I'm planning to go in oct with the tour, it is very exp to tour alone, best follow the tour.

Hi,

flying to London seems good idea to me given limited number of airlines flying to EE from Singapore.

As per Prague, I think, you will not need a tour agent. Its sophisticated safe city, with lots of information everywhere around. If you want a guided tour, its available downtown, no need to book in advance.

Rather then BA you may want to try Czech Airlines as they have decent service, tend to fly on time, and do not use the famous Terminal 5 (lots of luggage lost).

I traveled to krakow, prague and budapest on my own last year, i would say it was quite safe for a lone female traveler. personally, i prefer traveling on my own, and making friends along the way, especially the local. check www.hospitalityclub.org out, if possible become a member, and to be hosted. It is lots of fun staying and experiencing life with the locals, and it is more insightful about the place you are visiting.
