Golf in Bintan or Batam

Thinking of booking a game of golf for my husband's birthday - either in Bintan or Batam. Would prefer not to stay in a big resort-style hotel.

Any advice on courses appreciated (he loves links golf) but I need to book ferry quickly!

Came in a bit late on this. Did you find somewhere? There is a guy in batam rents a nice apartment out on the Indah Puri Golf resort, it's has a balcony looking over the sea and has a maid. you can find him at www.coconut-golf.com

Thanks for that - maybe next time. Think he enjoyed seeing the course although next time I'll give him some notice so he doesn't buff his way round and end up with blistered hands ha ha!
