This is very subjective, while Singapore has a huge selection of outlets I have to admit so far most have been pretty average, when people say Singapore is a great foody heaven they are talking value for money, yes you can have a full meal for two price of a glass of water in London.
Everyone has their own top favorite joints so why not list the 5 places you keep going back to:
Heres mine
1. Ritz Carlton Summer Pavilion: So far the best dim sum, good service
2. Rendezvous Great for local beef randang etc, no nonsense décor, A lot of Indos and Malaysians make this the first stop when they get here.
3. Blue Ginger: It was always good but have to admit the last two times its been pretty average ( new cook?)
4. Jerrys BBQ. The tangling shopping centre branch has the atmosphere of a morgue with the boss mama-san looking like she belongs in one. She is permanently in a bad mood, but the rack of ribs are superb.
5. A-Roy Thai, its in a computer mall and looks like cack, be warned it may look cheap, but I am always surprised by the bill. There again I have seen them preparing all the fresh ingredients very labour intensive, and its good enough that we keep going back

Oops, sorry I didn't keep to the restaurants topic, but you gotta try these local gems!
One of my fav restaurants is Dolce Vita at Oriental Hotel. Superb service, great food (mediterranean) and reasonable prices, given the quality on display!
