freelance tv jobs - permanent residency

Can anyone advise if they have had to get PR in order to get freelance tv production work. I am on dependants pass, but tv companies have turned me down as they prefer PR status. Has anyone else had this problem?

a) Many companies have no idea of how easu it is to get you employed on a DP.

b) Your DP is dependent upon your spouse's EP and companies are not comfortable with the fact the you could be forced to leave them if the spouse loses the EP.

Does Singapore allow me to hold both SG PR and US green card at the same time? Ignoring the fact that it may not be possible to maintain/extend both.
