How to travel with a 4 year old?

Hi,

Is a stroller required to travel with a 4 year old on bus and mrt's and on the streets/shopping ? Or Just carry him if he refuses to walk ?

easier without the stroller. good training for a 4 year old to enjoy walking too.

Chain him to a post in the Basement and then go shopping.

I dislike seeing able-bodied children who are old enough to walk, but instead are being pushed in a pram. At 4, I would think that he/she is old enough to walk onto the train/bus and sit in a seat like everyone else.
