Hi
Firstly, you need to know your budget and where your hubby office is. Driving and cabs are no longer cheap in Singapore. Cost me a bomb to commute to town as my office is in town and i live in suburbs. So bus and MRT is the best bet to beat the traffic and cost on road.
Well, I can't say that i've researched all parts of Singapore housing and i have different criteria from yours.
There's basically 2 types of housing : the public flats called HDB, or the private that can range from a house, to a
condominium that houses recreational facilities strictly for its residents only.
I have seen
condos in Novena area, which is close by coldstorage as well as education facilities for kids. A nice area, just 1 - 2 mrt stops to Orchard.
Holland is nice too, mostly for expats. Clementi, Dover, Bishan, Toa Payoh, Kallang... may be something for you out of town area, depending where your hubby works.
Check out the mrt map, it may help you.
