Meat pie in Singapore? Anybody?

Post by Levikane » Fri, 06 Jun 2008 5:42 pm

Being sans-oven and slightly far away from home I am at a loss to find a decent meat pie here. In fact, well, any meat pie.

Any hidden secrets? Where can I get my pie?!

The beef / lamb pie at HighLanders in Clarke Quay are surprisingly hearty and tasty..give that a try

The best lamb pie I had is at the American Club in singapore - but you have to be a member (good to know we get something back from the Huge fee)

hei guess what

I went to the Shepards Pie this weekend, it was very good. Next time I will have delivery for it is a bit out of the way from me. $23.00 pie for 4 people.

No aussie pies on their website. You aren't marketing for them by chance are you?

This reminds me, I really want to have a go at doing home-made curry puffs. Like visualising a perfect high end curry puff, and what that might be, and then working out backwards how to cook it... :)

By the way, I bought two big shepherds pies from the above linked company with the associated name, to be part of a meal for the whole kampong last year, and it was really pretty damned shiok lah. I'd certainly buy from them again...

Edit: p.s. I like these little boutique home delivery/catering places with very short menus, who serve up really good stuff at reasonable prices (maybe I'm just jealous, as I would love to be able to do something similar :))
