Bakery

Post by sammymck » Thu, 05 Jun 2008 3:24 pm

Hi everyone,

I know all about Breadtalk, believe me!

But I'm searching for a more authentic bakery that sells bread rolls, loaves of bread, lamingtons, sausage rolls etc. I'm not after sweet bread like at Breadtalk.

If any aussies are out there, I hope you know what I'm talking about. I'm craving a good white roll with poppyseed or sesame seed.

Any help and suggestions would be great.

Cheers,
Sam

Most bread, you will find, is 'sweet'. They add sugar to the loaves of bread.
I went out and got a breadmaker to solve that problem.

There's a Swiss bakery in Parkway Parade out in the east. They make really good bread there!

There's a couple of Swiss bakeries in Sg, but Hiestand in Takashimaya's basement is quite good.
