Day nurseries?

It looks like we're moving to Singapore this summer from the UK for my husband's work.

I am a teacher of English as a foreign language and would like to work while I'm there.

I have 3 children, the youngest of which is 1 years old. Do you have the equivalent of day nurseries in Singapore where my 1 year old could go part time while I'm teaching?

If so, do you know any good ones? My husband will be working in the Orchard Rd area but I have no idea yet where we will be living!

There are loads of nurseries and the like here but they generally start from 18months onwards. You'll need infant care for under 18months and you need to look long and hard at all the centres to decide what is best for you.

I put my little girl into infant care in March when she was 15months old and she has moved onto toddler care (at the same place) this month. You should know that you are looking at around SGN1000 per month, half days, for a good place with good baby/care giver ratio. We looked at about 10places (there aren't too many Infant Care places) and settled with one that is quite a commute but our princess is in good hands so it's been worth it.
