International Real Estate Agency

Post by bernx » Wed, 04 Jun 2008 4:50 pm

Hello friends, I am interested in property investment and own several in different countries including Singapore. I'd like to know if anyone here can recommend me to some good international property agency/firm or perhaps some other fellow investors who'd like to buy/sell or barter properties in the Asean (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia) and Canadian region?

Thanks,
bernx

You sound like a real piece of work. If you are sharp enough to have properties in N.America, Singapore and other Asean regions I would have to wonder why you have to come on a anonymous forum to get advice from. Doesn't that seem a little odd to you?

Sound like you are pumping to me. Talk to our hosts. That is the only agency that will be recommended on this board.

Oh my, what harsh sentiment and pessimism... I guess I have to add that I am the son and my father does have some lead though not as much as he'd like to at the moment and that's why I'm just trying to help out a bit by asking around. i decided to post here after reading some of the high quality posts made by some forum members in the business section. I was optimistic in getting some constructive feedback and I still am.

Btw, thank you for getting rid of the spam in my thread.

bernx,

If you saw what we see in the course of a 24 hour period on this board you might understand why we are concerned. If you would reread your original post you may have taken the same stance that I did. Now, with you furnishing further information, we find it is not you at all with the property but your family and you are trying to help by soliciting anonymous advice on a forum. That's a big difference isn't it. When we don't have ALL the facts we have to judge on the face of it and compare it with the other "garbage" we get and have to delete (which normally is just deleted full stop without warning or apologies).

No offense meant, but keeping a board this size clean is a difficult job when all of us also hold down full time positions as well. Sometimes, we get it wrong. When that happens, the wronged person will come back just like you did. 99.9% of the time though we get it right. Sometimes some slip through the cracks because they didn't bother to read the FAQs & Stickies on the site. Or the bright orange banner above where you post your messages.

However, our hosts do not allow the recommending of real estate agents on this site. This is understandable as this site is one of their places of business. No different than you going into McDonalds' and trying to advertise Burger Kings on their premises. Or Driving your Ford over to the Chevy dealership and passing out brochures on Chevvies on their premises. It's their site, so we enforce their desires. Simple really.

Lol, in that case no hard feelings and I do apologize. I failed to notice this since I linked to this forum through google. In that case, if within mod regulation, I request this thread be locked and/or deleted. Thanks.

Well, I know that our board operators are focused on Singapore real estate, particularly rentals and sales to expats. So, I am not sure at all that there is any conflict. Will check it out. I'd like to see this thread go on because I have been thinking about property investments in various places in Asia and would like to see what others think.

Thanks for the encouragement strong eagle. Do keep me posted in the matter and if not against forum regulation I'll try to post back with any update :)

The moderator was harsh on you because that was your 1st post and it sounded very much like you were 'fishing' for contacts.

There are a number of networking groups for real estate investors in sg. You just need to google for them since we are not suppose to post links here.

I have real estate investments in Australia, Thailand and locally. Getting yourself connected to investor groups are very useful for landing on off-market deals. You want to make you profit when you buy (at below market prices), not just when you sell.

Ok, go google with the right keywords. Have fun and happy networking.
