pulling on spanx does not make anybody lose weight or give permanent reshaping results...

you still need to exercise regularly. Get your friends to accompany you, jog and even do some fun activities together. Avoid oily and fried food. Add more fruits and veggie to your meals.

this advice is much better! : ) +1

To Threadstarter,
nothing beats exercise. U can go to those slimming centers which promise this and that and all those slimming products. However, they r only succesful mayb 2 out of 10 ?

for me I have lost quite an amount of weight before so i know. I used to lose 18kg in 4 mths..yes..in 4 mths..and no doubt, i can tell u its nt just dieting alone. Its the proper diet coupled with exercise. To be honest, u must have alot of determination to want to slim down

Lost 8kgs

Post by pat17eve » Sat, 28 Jun 2008 10:00 am

Hi, i know it is a tough to slim down, because i've been there. After married i put on 16kgs over a period of maybe 1-2 years. Can you imagine walking with 78kgs. Eventually my legs and other parts seem to signal that something is going to give way. Like many of you, i was also looking at many of the quick fix stuff, but being conscious of the dangerous side effects, i sought some of the more conventional way. Plan what to eat in advance and do some nutritional homework.

If you are willing, can you carry a small note book and jot down what you eat and drink for a full one week and then share it with me. We can then have a look at what is causing the weight gain. By the way, what kind of work do your do which require O/T almost every day?

hi,friend.
i got same problem like you.
i will suggest you go for the gastric balloon placement. This is medical treatment for weight lost. no pills, no side effect. you still can makan, but you can't eat much. eat a bit, you will feel full because the balloon occupite almost half of your stomach space. maybe i can introduce my doc to you! i try to get his contact.

Hey ladies / dudes ~
I have a problem here , i have heavy bottom , and a very serious one.
My waist used to be 26" 1 year ago , but have gone up to 31".
I was 52kg back then , to my horror i weight 66kg now T.T
I have tried alot different brand of slimming products but non works.
Pills , gels , lotion all tried . None works .
I have also tried to cut down on my food intake.
I try to eat as less meal as possible.
But sometime there will be painful gastric problem.
I try to eat less , but i get hungry easily.
Any other alternative which can help me to slim down ASAP ?
Perharp any effective sliming pills , sliming center which i can try out ?
(maybe a place which garantee result :x)

Actually i wanted to try out this sliming center which advertise in the papers. They have a $380 package for 10 session. But some ladies in other forum say that this sliming center was a scam. There went there and was sort of 'force' to sign up for an expensive package. And actually i saw another girl in this forum which say that she went there , and its good.
So i don't know who to believe ?

Currently i went to a doctor , was prescribe with some pills which could might help me. Have not started the prescrition yet as i was down with flu. It was cheaper than those selling from the shop and i hope it works for me. Have also cut down on my carb intake. Have not seem much result yet . :) JIAYOU to me ba ^^ i hope to get my ideal shape asap :]

Please share with me your experience :)
Your participation is appreciated ^^

.: Ps ,i will be quite busy from next week onward as i have just join a new company and might not be looking at the repiles so frequently , but nvm keep your comments and advise coming in , will login every now and then.

Well guys however this have started i'll grab it from here and go ...

First SMS is the father of the forum he is the kniwledge out here .. threadstarter

Getting into it.. I myself had a growing belly and in less than 3 weeks in become for "1 pack" to 6 pack" my gf back in malaysia i do train her with me and she got godo results.. let me tell you how but first forget these ideas

Pills, centre they would eat your moeny only.. gel well my ex-girfriend used it i din recommend it personally but that upto you.. i believe in workout and self decision to reach what you want.. here you go:

In 3 weeks you can see result for some people 2 weeks exactly... Its from real experience and real cases

Wake up From the bed to the floor and do:
3 Reps*of 15 each - Front Sit up - *Repetitions
2 Reps of 10 each - Side Sit up (Like 10 left straight away right)
All these Sit ups should be with a 5 to 8 seconds interval can go to 10 sec lor

So the sequence should be: Front 8 sec Front 8 sec Side(L & R) 10 sec Front 10 sec and last Side (L & R)
Repeat the sequence 3 Times /Day if you got not time then unfortunately 2 Times/Day --- Don't forget the Stretching of Abs after the Whole Sequence is done

*NOTE: If the Sit up are not done in the right way you'll feel back and neck pain and no result you should feel your stomach burning then that means you reached the right point! Else am not responsible for no result

Take the stairs walk more thant you drive ride Bicycle for few KM 5 to 10 KM (Well I was a National Cyclist back home doing the Tour) Allternative days can help but since you work then on weekend

Early in the morning do some jogging 15 min/day on alternative days in more than enough early morning with empty stomach is recommended (I can play 3 rounds of Taekwondo sparring and still i have tons of energy in me I've tried that)

Watch what you eat - well to me I don't really care I eat anything because I know the exercise I do are ver y precise and effective

4 cups of warm water (Air Swam I guess thats how you write it in malay ^_^" ) after every meal and one in the afternoon between 3 to 5pm (4pm recommended)

Enroll to the gym and when you train focus on weight losing training - Light Weight with mutlitple Reps (Like 20,18,16)

Eat lots of salads and letus it suck the fat

Stretching is very important legs and body's centre (Abs and back) join classes like fighting class and all these class that make you train your whole body instantly..

Find a partener to do that if you feel lazy doing it alone where you should because you wanna lose so you gotta be commited to that for 21 days ONLY

That my medecine to you and to all those who wanna fight fat...I am the fat fighter ;)

So I would have to ask, how much weight was lost during this period?

Or,

as was more likely, not much loss of weight but more conversion to muscle so the weight stayed virtually the same. Especially if you are/were already an active person who just let them selves get a bit out of shape but were keeping up a reasonable exercise routine (which as a martial arts proponent, I would have presumed you did).

What I did, was designed for persons where are both technically obese or morbidly obese and do not currently engage in an exercise program. My diet is designed to get rid of the weight FIRST & RAPIDLY. WITHOUT having to try to fit an exercise program into a somewhat hectic work schedule. Have you ever been 40kg over weight and try to do what you are proposing? If you went to a doctor, he would tell you that you are a candidate for a heart attack looking for a place to happen.

I am not advocating NOT exercising. I am not advocating anything for that matter. I am just stating the facts as they pertain to the average "obese" person (not overweight but obese - do some reading). There are other options available than what you and OPT and others try to have people believe. I posted my results to prove that it is well and truly possible. Whether people have the discipline to follow a plan similar to my (mine was designed and monitored personally by a doctor in the US) is up to how badly they want to lose the weight. I can show many who have benefited by this program. They are walking around just like you and me. There are currently around 4 regulars on the Forum who are in the program as well as well as another who completed the program last years after losing 49kg in just over 6 months. I don't push the program because it isn't easy, but it is effective.

I am now in the process of rebuilding my fitness. This is much easier to do without the extra 26 kg that I was hauling around before. Much less stress on the joints. You have to look at all aspects of a weight-loss program before you can say one is better than another (your's, as it's written is full of holes, especially the silly statement the vegetables suck up fat. Poppycock. You need to have protein to burn fat. And you also need stay well hydrated. However, just for a point of reference, for those who are more interested in losing weight, don't drink warm water as suggested. Drink normal temperature. Better yet, drink cold water and the human body will then use energy to warm the water up in addition to the water keeping your liver and kidneys flushed of toxins that will build up with when fat is burned.

As a final note, the average "Obese" or "Morbidly Obese" person is not physically fit or for that matter, generally is not much more than a slug as the carrying around of that much weight is hard enough so most become very sedentary.

SMS

I was told by firendwho studied Medecine that Salad burn fats like letus and etc...

About the warm water mysefl i find it effective that why i recommend it.. also in malaysia its very common that people after food in restaurant go for a cup.. yhave you realized that?

Indeed as a martial artist i have been trhough this exercise and am always on it.. that would burn some fats and turn it to muscle as well

Can you please PM me your diet (regime) program I wanna have a look at it

Myself am 70 Kgs of muscle - Bruce Lee followed some of the same exercises I do.. I read his articles and books and got ideas and steps from there... Maybe then we can call it building muscle's exercise ! ;)

You would do better to talk to a Nutritionist who has experience in that field.......

Do you know why Malaysians do that? The same reasons Indonesians and Singaporean do it. They eat a lot of spicy foods and chilli. Warm water, like yogurt takes the burn out of chilli's. Try it sometimes.

Indeed as a martial artist i have been trhough this exercise and am always on it.. that would burn some fats and turn it to muscle as well

So you are not advising anybody on weight loss then correct? There is a big difference between a 120kg 1.5m tall girl trying to lose 40kg than a guy with a martial arts background trying to regain his 6-pac after gaining a couple of lbs of beer overdose. These people are looking for weight-loss, pure and simple. If they want fitness, then they can to that after they gain some initial self esteem. Start another thread for muscle building instead of trying to hijack a weight-loss one.

I have no problem with your building muscle's exercise. In fact, I think it's quite good and will probably incorporate bits of it into my own regime. I think that fitness and exercise program have a definite place in the scheme of things. You think a bit too highly of yourself. YOU followed some of the same exercises THAT BRUCE LEE USED. You read his articles and now you are an expert? *where the snickering smilie* That's rich.

Where we differ is that I am keeping to the topic of "WEIGHT LOSS" where you are trying to hijack the thread to "Exercise and muscle building" instead of creating a new topic of your own.

I was quite astounded when somebody told me the owners of the well-known slimming centers in Singapore are multi-millionaires.

Maybe I shouldn't be astounded. I'm just an ignorant fool.
