Any ways to slimming down , asap ?

Post by Cost » Tue, 03 Jun 2008 7:03 pm

EDITED 14June08 :]
Hey ladies / dudes ~
I have a problem here , i have heavy bottom , and a very serious one.
My waist used to be 26" 1 year ago , but have gone up to 31".
I was 52kg back then , to my horror i weight 66kg now T.T
I have tried alot different brand of slimming products but non works.
Pills , gels , lotion all tried . None works .
I have also tried to cut down on my food intake.
I try to eat as less meal as possible.
But sometime there will be painful gastric problem.
I try to eat less , but i get hungry easily.
Any other alternative which can help me to slim down ASAP ?
Perharp any effective sliming pills , sliming center which i can try out ?
(maybe a place which garantee result :x)

Actually i wanted to try out this sliming center which advertise in the papers. They have a $380 package for 10 session. But some ladies in other forum say that this sliming center was a scam. There went there and was sort of 'force' to sign up for an expensive package. And actually i saw another girl in this forum which say that she went there , and its good.
So i don't know who to believe ?

Currently i went to a doctor , was prescribe with some pills which could might help me. Have not started the prescrition yet as i was down with flu. It was cheaper than those selling from the shop and i hope it works for me. Have also cut down on my carb intake. Have not seem much result yet . :) JIAYOU to me ba ^^ i hope to get my ideal shape asap :]

Please share with me your experience :)
Your participation is appreciated ^^

.: Ps ,i will be quite busy from next week onward as i have just join a new company and might not be looking at the repiles so frequently , but nvm keep your comments and advise coming in , will login every now and then.

You should ask SMS for help, you obviously need something that will work long term!

Look at your calorie intake vs. your energy expended (used). To lose weight you must either eat less calories or expend more energy (exercise more). This is basic science - there is no way round it (which is why slimming pills and other miracle cures don't work). Unfortunately the balance seems to shift towards needing to do more of one or the other to maintain your weight as you get older and your metabolism slows down (which is why most of us get fatter as we get older). If you don't want to change your diet or can't find time to exercise regularly, the only solution is to come to terms with the shape you are.

OMG, you dunno who is SMS. he is the famous resident forum "database".

as for your slimming tip, you really need to exercise. having no time is no excuse coz in the long run, your weight will have an impact on your health. for example, instead of using the lift, use the stairs.

also eat more vegs and fruits. you got to watch your diet. what goes in will stay in unless you worout to burn it off. there's no magic pill you can pop to make you slim.

btw, sms and ksl are guys. :)

Sorry ksl, but you know the answer here as well as I do. There is nothing that will help her. She has to "REALLY" want help and will do whatever is necessary to lose weight. She has not indicated what she weighs nor how much she needs to lose. It may be a lot, it may be a little but a lot in her eyes.

If she is lazy, then she must first cure that problem before she can tackle her other weight problem. She needs to get her head sorted first. Without her head in the right place, there is no sure cure. Also, there are no magic bullets or pills. All have their side effects. Eating properly and figuring out why you are NOT eating properly is the key to success. Often, it's a process of figuring out why you are eating probably what is called "comfort food". Once you have figured that one out and addressed the problem the rest become much easier. All the diets in the world won't help unless you treat the underlying problem that caused you to eat incorrectly in the first place.

Sorry to butt in but that kinda science is 1960s.
If your body is a machine, then that logic applies but in reality there are different hormonal processes with regards of the food you eat.
One thing you can look into is mobilizing fats into ketones via ketosis.
Its the insulin and glucose that you have to worry about, because it is a catalyst for fat storage.

Also by reducing your intake as with evolution, our body will vary the expenditure according to our intake as we're adapted as a hunter and gathers and go through feast and famines. This is important for survival if not we're not here using the computer.

So TS, if you really want to mobilize fat and lose the inches, go to a gym, do resistance exercises and go on a high fat low carb diet so that you mobilize fats as fuel with heavy ( relative to one's strength) multi joint exercises.

Don't subject yourself to being a lab monkey for slimming centers or become a pill junkie, those crap simply won't work and are expensive.
If you have motivational problems, engage a private trainer who will push you and hold you responsible for your lifestyle.

Diets never worked for me unless I combined it with exercise, in the long term- that is. Even if you're busy, just take a 30minute walk or something light so you dont tire yourself out too much. And slimming pills are just ridiculous, so much money for nothing substantial to gain out of it.

Actually, the first law of thermodynamics was first stated in 1850, but it remains just as true today: if you want to reduce your mass, you've got to start eating less (less mass in) or turn it into energy (more mass out).

Solution

Hi,

ever thought of reshaping lingerie?? I saw my friend wearing and the result is shown instantly. Just be determined to wear it eveyday and you can see your body shape get better. You won't feel like wearing anything.

However, in order to achieve better and faster slimming results, you still need to exercise regularly. Get your friends to accompany you, jog and even do some fun activities together. Avoid oily and fried food. Add more fruits and veggie to your meals.

Jia you.
