Does anyone know about children traveling without parents?

My in laws would like to take their grandchildren to Bintan for a few days. Does anyone know if I need to provide a letter of consent, or any other documentation, as my children will be traveling without their parents?

Thanks

If Bintan immingration is anything like Batam. Ther shoudl be no reference on the Visa info as to children or parents.

What country are you from? Do you get free entry?

I do not see it as a problem. We haev been there (Batam) several times. One of my children is a step child, so he is the only member of the family that has a different Sir name. This has been no problem.

However, I feel a letter of consent is a safe bet. Even if you all are in the same country, it gives medical care a head start incase anything would happen.

Why not call the Indonesian embassy and ask them if it is required?

We are from the UK. All have British passports with the same surname as my in laws.
