We had a dreamcast when they first came out. That was awesome. But unfortunately I think it was too much too soon and didn't go over in a big way as the PS was released just prior to it's release, thereby sucking most of the wind out of it's sales. In fact, it might still be lying around the flat somewhere in a dark dusty corner but if I remember correctly, there was a problem with it and my son really stopped being a gamer once he found his way with a bass guitar. It's visuals were much better than the PS's & Nintendo's of it's time though.

SMS, I couldn't agree more. The Dreamcast was probably the best console I've ever had in terms of graphics (I've heard they used similar hardware in arcade consoles), plus it had so much potential of having SEGA behind it. I still can't believe it didn't take off and achieve great heights.

Never liked the PS btw which I thought was junk.

Yeah, the dreamcast was a funny one. Graphically, it seemed leagues ahead of everything. But the PS had a much better choice of games which tipped the balance in it's favour.

I always found the PS had better gameplay and seemed to get the big titles first, similar to nintendo in that respect.

The Zelda for N64 was probably the best Zelda ever. They just re-released it bundled with the new Nintendo 3DS, which is tempting me strongly to buy it.
