So when will you be taking the plunge? Do you plan to do this alone? Come to think of it, it might not be a bad idea to do this alone sometimes, at least dont have to worry about having to accomodate the other party etc etc.....oh well.....

Hey UglyPIglet, do u have a before photo to share with us? Anyway You have utterly convinced me to go ahead with Dr Su and that is what I'll do. I don't want to lose my ethnic look in the hands of a dramatic surgeon. I think Dr pat has done enough drama on my face *laughs*. =D UglyPiglet, yes you should change your nick to HandsomePiglet =D. Moderators! :D

Hey gal,

If you read my earlier post, I am not going alone - am going with someone from the forum. But I did initially plan to do this alone and be 'HERO' wannabe hehe :)

There are pros & cons on doing this alone or with someone though, but if you can, I would strongly suggest you have a close friend to go together with you. Like you mentioned, you will need someone to get the food for you and take care of you while you are out for days. Oh talking about that, I am alittle worried now as the hospital of Dr Kao (im going to him) doesnt provide day care service unlike Dr Hsu, so I dunno how I'll be able to cope. :(

I am actually flying to Taipei tomorrow - so nervous as the days draw nearer......will post more later on and share my experiences - hope it'll help anyone who is planning to do this....

sorry all, this is a bit off-topic, but i'm in taiwan for a bit and would LOVE to find a ps that performs vaser/smartlipo. the only one i've found is a derm who doesn't suck the fat out = not really as effective, or at least that's what i've heard. you have all been so amazing and helpful...i've really only been a lurker thus far, but the amount of knowledge and resources on this forum genuinely amazes me. :) thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

So wondering if any of you guys knew. My main problem with my nose are the width of my nostils, would really like to decrease them...

TIA x

Dr Kao might feels that you don't need the alar reduction... Because when i did my rhinoplasty, he also say that i don't need one. I was very very insistent regarding it. He say if i don't like the rhinoplasty with no alar, he will do it for free the next time i come back to him. hahhaa~

In the end, he lost to my strong-headed character.. lol~
He did the rhinoplasty with mini alar reduction for me, i'm such a hard nut to crack..

Post him a question directly, "Is it okay for me to do Alar Base reduction?, why?"
Hi,

My nostrils are so wide and huge!!! lol, Ive emailed him again about alar. So he has the ability to do alar base reduction then? As I havent heard much about his alara work.I would look stupid with a pointy nose and wide nostrils ! Whats mini alar reduction? did it make much improvement for you? Ive emailed him again asking him if the price he quoted me included alar, lets see what he says......

Hi~

it depends on your face structure.... your nose wings should ends in parallel with the edge of your eye corners.. if it doesn't go beyond that area, you are counted to be fine. But if you go too small on your alar, your whole face aesthetic might look weird.

When he say he did a mini alar for me, it means that he is going very easy on the amt. After the tip lift & the bridge, my alar actually looks smaller but i want it even smaller, as i think it can be balance with my eye corners.

Do a test on your on nose, use a cotton bud and push up your nose tip, you can see the alar going smaller... Try and let me know~

Cheers,
Jo

Hey Piglet I think after looking at your Before photos, there are some things I want to point out

1) Dr Su corrected the droopy eyelids of your right side and made them symmetrical

2) I think your nose can be bound to have great improvement as you didnt have a bridge. Your tip looked really low for your face in the before pictures.

3) I think that you are roughly proportionate in your facial features, if not proportionate; except for your nose which is now fixed. So expect some good results once the cast is out!

4) You can take your photos at least 1 metre away so as to minimise camera lens distortion.

Congratz! U look great and ur overall features really changed alot. you look totally different. i realized that ur chin has became sharper too! Definitely u lost some weight as compared to your old pic. When i was recovering from mine i lost 5kg!

Speedy recovery to you

Cheers

UglyPiglet wrote:Hey thanks everyone. And all the best to those who is going to do their surgery soon. U'll have speedy recovery like me as well.

Today went to Dr Su there to remove stitches and also they recommend me to buy the L-Ascorbic acid (vitamin C essence )to apply to lighten the scar. I know Dr Chuang Wish clinic got the SHU FARVIAN vitamin C essence which maybe better than Dr Su but I'll just use the 1mth supply first and see any improvement, if have shall source for it, if not switch to SHU FARVIAN :) And for the lady at Dr Su there also removing her stitches saw you with the support on ur nose like mine but I believe she use her ear cartilages or maybe both as I don't have supersonic eyes to see thru her clothing for the bandage like mine on my rib. You look puffy than me,but u look cute :P

aneles>>> Erm does correction of my eyes & nose changed my looks overnight? Well I don't think alot or maybe I've been looking myself in the mirror quite often that's why I don't think there is a big changes. Plus mild swelling of my right eyelid maybe that's why...... But shall see how after Dr Hsu remove the support from my nose on Wednesday, then I'll know for myself. I really looking forward my way to looking more handsome  My face shape look sharper after rhino? Erm i didn't noticed that, but one thing to confirm is neither I put on nor loss weight.

boii18>>> I do have my before pictures for you all to comments, as usual pardon me for the grossness......

Alright ladies, actually if you're doing rib for ur nose, is best to have a caretaker to take care of you for half day or 1 full day to help you buy foods or even feed you, so that you can have a peace of mind to rest and recover. For caretaker check with the nurse there once you are in the hospital, I believe they should have this service. Dr Hsu is very very thoughtful, help me do all these arrangements and take alook at my nose and explain the details to me after the surgery etc.....

SHU FARVIAN vitamin C essence

Post by vickyabc » Tue, 09 Dec 2008 9:10 am

Btw guys, im using the SHU FARVIAN vitamin C essence for my scars. been using for a month and the result was not bad. Im using for my leg injury scar (its an old scar) but my bf told me that it has improved alot.

Dr Chuang told me that since its an old scar, i will not be able to get rid of it completely.. It will just lighten it.

I bought SHU FARVIAN vitamin C essence (its watery - like our facial toner) and SHU FARVIAN cream (little pink color bottle) to use it together.

It would be better to put some treatment for the scar asap when it is still fresh..

Last month i was back in taiwan for my cheek, i asked for Kai yan wei but Dr chuang refused to do for me. Said i dont need it. i asked for dimple, he doesnt allow me to do that too!

Anybody knows any surgeon that is good in doing "Kai Yan Wei"?? Or may i ask if is there anyone here has that done before??

ps: Aadvark i saw ur pic before u r not fat at all! And if i remember correctly u have a sharp chin too..
