Hi Appletree & all who has been to Kangning Hospital

How long does it take to travel from the hopital to City (Wish Clinic).

I'm planning on consultation to both clinics in same day.

TIA!

What's your definition of 'recover'?
If you're expecting there to be no scar, then no, not possible. Give it 2 weeks, by then you can probably apply some light eye make up to cover the scar.
BTW, if you just do epi w/o double eyelid, it's quite pointless IMHO. It's the blepha/dbl eyelid that makes all the difference.

u can try get two doctors to operate on you in the same hospital for 2 surgery.
Golden Rules of PS:
1)If it aint broken, dun fix it / dun fix what u dun need
2)Perfect individual features usually dun yield perfect face
3)Work on your confidence 1st

Wow, wow, wow :) Lots of ladies going in the month of December.
Well I'm taking the lead for December. Updates on my surgery appointments. Surgery on double eyelid + epi with Dr Su on Dec-2 (Yeah at last someone cancelled his/her appointment, otherwise I don't get the chance to do my eyes) Dec-3 autologous rhinoplasty with Dr Hsu. Less than 2more weeks to go, I'm so excitied. Speedy recovery to those on recovery phase like appletree. I'll update mine soon :D

but for me, even based on Michelle Reis 'after' pic - her nose is not that pointed per ser.... it still shows a softer rounder but still defined tip.

what is considered pointed - it is like this example I hve attached (taken from D.Toriumi's site)

ImageImage

Hope I illustrated this well. :D

Walau, you compare like this, obviously michelle reis won't have a 'pointed' nose. The vietnamese patient example you used is like a 9.5 on a scale of 1-10 for how pointy the nose is.

hahaha, i guess i had to show a more obvious pointed nose to explain my case, lol :D

of course this is my own opinion abt michelle reis & what i perceive of a sharp pointed tip & what's not. I respect your own right of opinion too.

Just wanted to share my views here. Hope no offence was taken. ;p

diff ppl have diff views, no need to dedate abt it . like for me, i dun find reis nose pointed. thou close to being called pointed but still not pointed.

the key here is whether is the result nice or not after the op and after it finalise. dun forget our appletree need to go for 2nd round when her nose heals. so i keep my finger cross for the moment and wish her speedy recovery.

OH yes, i agreed with what on the pointy issue. :)
Omg, who says i need to go for 2nd round of surgery when my nose heals? I think i just mentioned in my previous post that " if i feels my nose not lowered enough, dr kao only suggest that i can also use ear cartilage to lower it down somemore if i want it to be lower somemore in future." Somehow, i feels that as long my nose tip got pull down to cover the nostril hole as compared to before, im very happy already as i do not like those whole downturned kind of noses.. so i believe i wont need to do something to my nose tip. :)
I just hope that my nose bridge can do down somemoreand nose tip to deswell faster..

I'll be doing nose first then eyes. But consultation with both docs first before surgery so they can see my original face.

Hi aneles,

no lar hehe..not exactly michelle reis nose tip, just abit similar i guess. I hope you can be motivated to stop smoking also ok? :) Well, its sure a good time to quit smoking for good 8-)
Dr kao mentioned in the email that i need to wait at least 2 months for the early stage recovery, and a year for almost totally stability. Anyone has any idea if the early stage recovery also means that the swelling will be less obvious? heehee..

hi kittygirl8,

Yes, im taking bromelain now also, hope that the swelling can faster go down!!! Christmas is coming, omg!!

hi moonlight_pmdct,

thanks for your wishes. :)
So envy you girls can meet up together in taipei and do the shopping!
may the surgeries goes well too for you girls ! :)

hi mikko_baby80.

welcome to the forum. I think there are a few forumers going there alone for the surgeries, in fact i think quite alot of them went there alone.. however if you are going for the autology rhinoplasty, i suggest you have someone to go with you too as it will be very uncomfortable for the first 2 to 3 days.

hi gingerbabe,

i cant remember how long is the journey but roughly around 20mins, 200 ++ NTD.

Hi aneles,

thanks for pointing out..im too anxious lar. 8-[ I cannot say my nose doesnt look nice, in fact when i walked out of the clinic, i looked in to the mirror and thought that i look mixed blood with that nose and the brown lenses im wearing lol. Just that i would prefer not a so drastic change to my nose and something to fit into mian xiang.
I so hope my nose will start aborpting now until chirstmas just in time.
Oh yes share with you a gppd mews which you might be interested to know, dr kao actually showed me a photo of michelle reis's front view nose tip before i went into the surgery room..
Remember to stop smoking by now ok? :) , i have not been smoking since till now..
Yes, have to agree that dr kao did very nice nose tips.

Appletree, I am so glad to hear that you are loving your new nose everyday!!! Very happy for you as you deserve it after going thru all the pain = it was worth it!!!! :D
