If you look at your eyelids, I think you might be able to tell. Do you have a 1 cm incision on each of your eyelids (therefore mini incision)? Or 3 tiny cuts instead (that is the 3 point incision)? Or a full incision all the way across both eyelids (full incision it is then)?

By the way, how are your scars? Satisfactory?

I think you should email your rhinoplasty surgeon and the doctor doing the eyelash implant for their opinion. I think they would have a better idea and the experience to advice you and give you the best suggestion.

Anyone going to see Dr. Kao during this period? :D
I'm going to Taipei from 29 November - 14 December...

Seeing Dr. Chuang @ Wish Clinic....
To savannah_lenaia: Which day is your actual operation day? I fixed mine on the 28th Nov~

To All: ahmm... Usually how long does we require to rest after the surgery? 2 days?
(a) Dr. Chuang doesn't set his operation days until about 2 weeks out BUT i'm hoping to get either 30 Nov or 1, 2 Dec...

(b)Yup, two days sounds about right. By then you will be suitably bored and "itching" to get out of the hotel room....Post op is kinda boring, in my humble experience :)

Vitamins and checklist

Post by kittygirl8 » Wed, 05 Nov 2008 11:30 am

Dear all,

Im heading off to Taipei early next month for the rinoplasty and eye lid surgery and am so excited and scared at the same time. To those of you who have already gone through the surgery, could you kindly advise when we should stop taking the vitamins like C and E and Bromelain, Sineech etc before surgery?

Could you advise too what are the essentials stuff to bring along, am so worried about not bringing enough......

Thanks xx

Dear Feline,

If I can recall correctly, I understand you did your eyes with epi with Dr Chuang. I am unsure if I should go ahead with the epi as I understand that after rinoplasty, it might not be necessary. Did you face the same situation too the other time?

Hi

For those of u doing your nose or eyes or face, u cant touch those wounds with water so u wont be able to wash yr face with water. To prepare for your trip buy cleansing wipes to clean your face.

Also u will have to do cold compress & hot compress. For cold compress u can juz get ice which is readily available at 7-11 or 24 hour marts which can practically be found in every corner in TW.

As for hot compress, u dont want to be boiling water all the time in the hotel room & the towel gets cold very fast. I wld suggest u buy those little packs with magnet in it so is more convenient. Buy 2 so u can alternate.

Hope this helps!

Hey feline.eyes,

I was wondering since you had your nose done with Dr. Hsu. Do you have his email address? How much did it cost you? I also have a flat-ish nose and I'm considering rib grafting but I'm not sure. I heard your nose will be stiffer or hard, is it true?

Thanks! :)

You can continue taking the rest according to the daily recommendation/instruction but stop taking your vitamin e at least 2 weeks before your operation. You can continue with your vitamin e again about 2 weeks after your operation.

I did my rhinoplasty first before going for my blepharoplasty. After the rhinoplasty, the width between my eyes did decrease but I chose to go ahead with the epicanthoplasty because further improvement could be made.

But your case might not be the same as mine ^_^ I guess you can only tell after you have done your rhinoplasty.

i was thinking if i will be able to get out of the room within a day after the operation, otherwise i really have to bring a laptop along to kill time~ It seems like the advice here is 2 days tap~

For cold compress, I find ice pack a little lacking. They just don't have the right contours. I have a pretty good alternative if you have access to a freezer.

Buy some latex gloves and alcohol. Fill each glove with a mixture of alcohol and water and tie it up. Make sure it is only about 3/4 full and not brimming. The mixture should be about 30% alcohol and 70 percent water. Freeze it and enjoy when it is done. The end result should be a slooshy bag which can fit around contours better.
