I have been following the contents of this forum for over a year and have found it so comforting to know that people are happy to share their experiences.

I had my double eyelids done this year April with a Taipei based doctor called Dr. Albert Soong. His clinic is in the Zhong Xiao fuxing area and to be honest, I'm still unsatisfied with the look of my eyes. Before having surgery done, my eyelids were hidden away behind my thick eyelids. After surgery you could see them a little bit more, but he failed to remove the fat on my upper eyelid that is the main cause for the droop of the eye.

I am looking into having my eyes revised - probably not have my eyelids done again but more so have an epicanthoplasty procedure done, and maybe a lateral z if the doctor agrees.

HOWEVER.. i'm not going back to the same doctor. Which Epi specialist would you guys recommend? I know back on the first page or so, it has been noted that Dr. Su (http://www.dr-su.com) & Dr. Yang (http://www.artwood.com.tw/eyes2.php) are reputable Double eyelid specialists.. i'm having a difficult time deciding and was hoping any one of you kind souls could help me with a decision? i dont know man >_<"

I have family in taipei but do not wish to trouble them to find me another doctor as they were the ones who recommended Dr. Soong.

My advice to you is don't consider Artwood, results may not be satisfactory and also the price is unrealistic(high). Im speaking from experience.

Hi omega, thanks for the reply and suggestion. I was on Artwoods' website yesterday and was not satisfied or convinced that they're good.

i'm aiming for angelababy/dawn yang eyes .. do you have any recommendations as to who to go to? i'm seriously so stuck its starting to irritate me. was thinking of going back to my other doctor if i can't find a good enough doctor. please help!

I dont really recommend going for eyes like DY, AB i am not sure, never really look at her photos that close. Medial epicanthoplasty + high parallel crease but this look is not natural at all. Epicanthoplasty can cause too much sclera(white) too be exposed and the carancula (the red part) . Again high parallel crease on asian face looks unnatural too and can look quite artificial. Unless you dont mind putting on makeup all the time and wearing those contact lens that enlarge the iris.
To sum it up, look good with makeup on photo but in real life is another thing. Again i nv see your pic the above is just generalisation

1. After a double eyelid surgery, would one feel very tired? Can still go sightseeing around taiwan or must be confined in the hotel room for a few days?

2. Is it advisable to carry heavy things (luggage) one day after the surgery? I ask in case I want to travel to another part of taiwan for sightseeing and need to bring along my luggage.

3. How do you wash your hair and face after the surgery?

1.1st and 2nd postop day swelling will be the worst = decreased visual field. Not to mention there will be clear blood stained discharge from the wound and you need to ice regularly 1st 48hrs and then warm pack regularly thereafter.

3.Can wash, tilt head back, try not to get water into the wound.

By the way I'm from Singapore. Think of fly in KUL(LCCT) then to TPE. Is much more cheaper. Or else I taking my direct flight via Jetstar. Which is much more expensive.
