Whoa!! Better clarify otherwise Dr Hsu will kill me. He NEVER once mentioned you to me. I asked him if there was a Singapore girl when I did my final check up - wanted to pass you the map through him mah. He told me he already passed one to you. I explained that you didn't speak chinese like me and wanted to be sure you got around well (who was to know you were so darned prepared!!) - that was when he said, "she speaks mandarin!" I was like *blink blink* "oh, might not be the same person", he then mentioned that this girl had a sister with her to accompany as well - not like me, all alone and definitely with a vocab of absolute max 20 words but lots of hand signals. Then THAT was it - he never spoke about what you were doing or where you were. By then I wasn't sure if it was you already, so I just let it go.

Maybe if you don't stress yourself too much you'll get into a healing zone?? Take rest. I was totally chilling out the first week post surgery. Just wrote this forum, watched TV, surfed net. The SongSan folks must have been thinking what's this "singapore boy" (that's what they referred to me as in chinese cos I couldn't speak to them mah) doing, locked in the room whole day. Didn't want to risk knocking into anything.

Cersepn, all the best with Dr Wong. He was the first PS I consulted. Do post your experience also cos I too am thinking of doing my eyes. Feline, you're damn accurate - I have deep double eyelids but there's just too much skin so they kinda fold over. I like them longish more than almondy round. Had a lateral brow lift in Dec07 with Dr Seah at Gleneagles too - that was terrific, got some feline type eyes for a while and was blown away. Kept acting like some terra cotta warrior. That was the most chinese I ever looked. Now I have puppy dog eyes again... sigh ... getting addicted, ya??! Look forward to your postings, C. Take it easy, both.

Haha, It's my 2nd day post op and i'm healing up really nicely. Swelling is surprisingly quite little. In fact, i never had the 'worms-plastered-on-eyes' look at all. Even Dr Wong's nurse said my swelling's very very little. So happy loh! hahaha. My friend's swelling was abit more, also a guy.

Before the surgery he really didn't talk much, but after reading and seeing so many successful cases, i thought he's the right person. He didn't really say what kind of crease he was gonna give me. During the consultation, i brought alot of japanese celeb pictures to let him see but the image too blur then he said 'aiya.. cannot see the detailed shape leh, can zoom anot?'. But alas, my hp lcd too louya alr.

On the actual day, i kept on asking him 'dr wong, will my lids look like the pretty boy or the masculine man man type?'.
he said 'don't worry, you will look like a man'. He cut for me 7.5mm tapered.
Now when i close my eyes and see the crease, i like the shape alot.. it's more horizontal and very masculine! My fears were really misplaced.
It looks something like this actor, Tamaki Hiroshi's eyes
Hopefully i'll see the final result soon, will update further.

This guy in picture eyes look awful as a guy .... This is crazy, you guys like such eyes? His face is too bony also. :???:

He appear like ah guah to me. Why would people ridiculouusly prefer such eyes when theirs are naturally man enough ? :(

Single eyelid - manlook for guys

Double eyelid - not many man can make it without being another step closer to resemble ah guah, except the western descend.

shiyun, you think the guy's eyes look not asian enough or sth? :? :D

my dad's eyes look like euro eyes, except they're not blue lol
he has big eyes, with really deep double eyelids and longgg lashes (like euros)

Too bad my eyes look average sized (but they're not samll thank god lol)

My mum has a euro nose, but I didn't get her nose (my grandpa and uncle has the same nose, so she's completelyyy natural)

sigh....didn't get the good genes from my parents

aiyoh, u make it sound like it's unnatural for asian men to have dbl eyelids; i have plenty of relatives and friends who were born with dbl eyelids and look perfectly manly
