Hey guys

For those of you who have done surgury in taiwan..
how do u positively keep the date and ensure that the
doctor will perform surgury on that day for u?

Did u pay a deposit earlier to keep your seat/placement?

Hi Sheep,

Why would you want to leave so early?
Im still deciding between Dr Kao or Dr Hsu.

So far previous patients stayed for 2 weeks at least.
I think its better that you enquiry with Dr Kao beforehand?

You still need to let him review and remove the stitches, plus when you fly, there is pressure and you might aggreviate the swelling or the stitching due to air pressure?

:)

Hey littlestitchgirl,

I'm a rather homely person haha. would prefer resting at home.

I asked if its okay to leave after 3 days of rest Dr Kao said should be fine. Just gotta find a doc in Singapore to remove the stiches.

When are you planning to go? Doing rhino?

Hi sheep & everyone else,

I've been silently reading this thread for a couple of days and just decided to jump right in, hope you all don't mind.

After reading everyone's experience, I feel more encouraged to seek consultation with Dr Hsu & Dr Kao, in fact, I just emailed them with enquries!

To sheep - how long did it take you to decide on Dr. Kao? Did you email him with your pictures and questions before choosing him over other doctors? When you emailed him, did you already have an idea what kind of nose you want? How long did it take you to set up the 1 Sep op?

My friends have been encouraging me to try out filler shots for higher nose bridge before deciding if I need to re-construct my nose, but I'm not sure of the change would be noticeable. Have anyone here tried filler shots for nose before?

Hi Sheep,

I see. mmm. thats abit odd.

Remembered reading from somewhere else that he mentioned its best to stay at least 2 weeks. But just remember, if anything happens, (of cos I sincerely hope it wont) usually specialist will revert you back to the PS who did the surgery for you which means u might have to fly back for post-treatment. Just a consideration yah? :)

I emailed both doctors, based on their reply, I preferred Dr Kao. However, looking at their work, I prefer Dr Hsu's "style" and eye for beauty. BUT i've done quite abit of research, and happened to come across some negative reviews about them, so now im researching on Korea too, meantime im holding back to reconsider seriously.

Right now, if im going ahead, im deciding to go in late Oct, Nov or Dec depending if I can find company too.

Does anyone know the best place to exchange money in Taipei? Which places tend to have the best exchange rates?

December 2009 for surgery?

Hey Islena, little stitch girl, sinne, sheep... and to anyone who's intending to go for nose job with Dr Kao (or Dr Hsu).. are you all intending to go in December this year?

My friend and I are going to Taiwan in December.. and it would be great if we could meet up and provide each other with the support! (or even share accomodation!)

Do PM me or reply to this forum if you all are interested! i think it's always better to meet up with people who would be getting the same procedures so we can provide each other with moral support.. yep! But of cos, our identities would be kept confidential during the trip.., among the few of us who are going! :P

Do you stay in Singapore? If yes, think Chinatown provides the best exchange rate.. my mum always go there to exchange for money before we go overseas..
