Ms Juice wrote:hmmmm.. my rib scar is still quite red ..
I dont really care about the scar cos i feel it can be cover up..hahah...

yep, mine is soley using rib, no ear graft or other material. I think my tip he either use my rib or my orignal nose graft.. Cos he did mention that if my nose graft is enough, he will used that if not, he will use the ear or the rib.
But i think he used my rib for my tip cos my tip area is super hard. hahha

There isnt much post service treatment nor service.
When i went back to remove the stitches, i did went for the light therapy thingy which cost NT200 i think for 20minutes.

The nurses in the cosmetics surgery department are very friendly also.
One of the nurse told me about the 'wu gong cao' and i did follow her instruction to drink.
You can get 'wu gong cao' at those medical hall, can also asked them to brew for you....
Can only drink it for 3 days cos apparently its too 'cooling' for us, girls. so cannot drink for too many days.
Think it did help me to deswell quite abit cos back then i was really swelling very badly.

I think my nose healing rate is pretty fast. Cos now its just 2wks plus after the surgery, it doesnt really seem swollen cos the shape its pretty define now.
And my tip is quite sharp already. i wouldnt want it to go any sharper cos i think i will look like a witch if it does.... lol
Hello Ms Juice.. oops.. a sudden surge of so many of my questions on this forum.. May I ask if you did any alar reduction other than just doing of the tip?

Is Dr Kao skilled in reducing the tip size and defatting it.. cos i still wanto preserve some degree of roundness for the tip.. would really appreciate it if you could provide more info.. THANKS!

i have browsed through the pages of reviews and Dr Hsu and Dr Kao keeps appearing.. tried to PM some of you all but I couldn't due to my limited number of posts..

Please do help me out with this as I have contemplated getting surgery since two years ago. Was initially quite set on getting surgery with a local ps doc for my nose in August this year but thought that overseas doc esp. those renowned ones in Korea and Taiwan could do a better job. Don't think any surgeon in singapore can do such good anatologous rhinoplasty...

Hope you all can understand where i am coming from and please get back to me via this forum.. and i'd be more than glad to exchange my email with you..

For those who have had successful nose jobs done with Dr Kao or Dr Hsu, i would really wish to hear from you and hope you could spread your "joy" to me too by giving me your advice and getting in touch with me.. sounds a bit cheesy but i really need help and guidance...
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY REPLIES.

My PM function is not working.. haha.

what an experience it has been...i did a couple of procedures,
4 in fact, all with Dr Kao.

Dr Kao did such a good job with my eyes everyone including myself
were very pleased with it. i was a single eyelid so being male, i asked for a inner/subtle double eyelid and by the 4th day it was healed and looking perfect. didn't know dr Kao was good with eyes too.

Dr Kao has been very supportive and patient and as a patient, i trusted him and i believe that's very important.

i have other things on my hands now so i will share the experience over the next few posts!

Hey tann!
haha that monday morning i had my op and it lasted from 830am to 3pm.
when i woke up at night i was wondering why hadnt dr kao come cos i was in so much discomfort. the nurses told me he was still at an op till late night so it was with you!
triservice wrote:Hi jumping...

My first reaction was WHY DID YOU CAME SO LATE ???

It is never a good idea to have surgery on the very day itself- and you know you need to settle down at least 24 hours after all the blood work etc. Bed will only be booked upon check in at the designated hospital and really, Dr. Kao is absolutely booked to the brim. You are fortunate to have met such a lovely man whose objective is to HELP, at all cost - thats him !

And... ear cartilage harvest is peanuts but it does hurt fair bit right after op for some, for me, it was a breeze thru, including my rib extraction !!! Not sure what it was I took beforehand, but it sure did fine for me by any measure. In fact, I was at the operating tablet only on Monday, at or about 6pm and finished at 1 AM !!!!!!! (Believe it or not ) Poor man... he was up and about by 9am the next morning obviously ready to meet you and a few others, including a few Singaporeans, so I heard, eh !!!

Do make friends as they are at least 5 locals within KangNing Apt NOW.!!
LOL

Hope your swelling is minimum as your proposed return date seems far fetch and bloody rushed. And... you WILL look funny on Monday.....make a choice, Lady !

So far... I am damn pleased.... maybe now its too long !!! (never my complaint in my life ) LOL

Cheers

ME

Just had my nose done today with Dr Kao. Stuffy nose now can't breathe properly! The wound where my rib was taken was quite painful this morning but now I can't feel much. Overall, there's really not much pain. I wonder how the nose will turn out.. I hope it'll turn out good.

I just had eyelash implants about two weeks ago with Dr Jong of Lih-Ren Clinic in Taipei. I also did double eyelid revision and levator surgery, so in total 3 surgeries with him on the same day.

Reached his clinic at 9am (they usually open only from 10pm but made an exception for me as I was having multiple surgeries).
Dr Jong did double eyelid revision and levator surgery for me first and after that, he removed hair from the back of my head to use for my eyelash implants. I was then wheeled off to rest for a while before I can go off for my lunch.
I had to return about 2 hours later for my eyelash implants surgery.

The whole implant surgery was done under local anesthesia (same with double eyelid and levator surgery) but unlike them, eyelash implants hurts a lot...a fcuking lot.
I have a high pain threshold (this coming from someone who fell alseep during her eyebrow embroidery) but I was literally crying throughout the surgery.
Dr Jong kept injecting more anesthesia for me (until he reached the maximum) and also a mild tranquilizer shot for me on my arm but it was still so painful that I kept muttering expletives under my breath.
If I had known beforhand that it was gonna be this painful, I won't choose to have this surgery at all (the nurse did say that I was an exception to have felt so much pain during the surgery).

My implanted eyelashes are really long now but they aren't thick as I have fine hair so they aren't very noticeable (I think they will look really pretty if I perm them and apply thickening mascara).
I had eyelash extensions before and frankly, they look better and are pain free. But having said that and gone through the surgery, I will have to say I am happy with the result and goodbye to all pricey eyelash serums.
