Would any of you ever consider using an irradiated rib cartilage? How about a freeze dried bone? I heard that the reabsorption and warping rate is higher if it's not your own rib cartilage. There are some doctors in the U.S. who use irradiated rib cartilage and freeze dried bone for rhinoplasty. I can only imagine how hard the actual bones are since it's not cartilage. I heard that freeze dried bone has been used successfully in orthopedic surgery for over 10 years. What do you guys think?

IN MY opinion, i would definately not choose to use those methods.

Reasons being i see no difference in using someone else's rib cartiledge cuz i think its the same as using silicone or gortex (ALL BEING FOREIGN OBJECTS)

If the DNA and itself does not match with you... eventually your body will reject it.

If it was so easy like this.. then OF COURSE i would buy someone else's rib and use it on my nose... but its not that simple.. this is why i choose to cut up myself to use for my nose.... = Lower warping and basically no chance of infection/diseases... wierd things happening..
and 100% no rejection cuz it belongs to me and my body knows it.

Hi jumping...

My first reaction was WHY DID YOU CAME SO LATE ???

It is never a good idea to have surgery on the very day itself- and you know you need to settle down at least 24 hours after all the blood work etc. Bed will only be booked upon check in at the designated hospital and really, Dr. Kao is absolutely booked to the brim. You are fortunate to have met such a lovely man whose objective is to HELP, at all cost - thats him !

And... ear cartilage harvest is peanuts but it does hurt fair bit right after op for some, for me, it was a breeze thru, including my rib extraction !!! Not sure what it was I took beforehand, but it sure did fine for me by any measure. In fact, I was at the operating tablet only on Monday, at or about 6pm and finished at 1 AM !!!!!!! (Believe it or not ) Poor man... he was up and about by 9am the next morning obviously ready to meet you and a few others, including a few Singaporeans, so I heard, eh !!!

Do make friends as they are at least 5 locals within KangNing Apt NOW.!!
LOL

Hope your swelling is minimum as your proposed return date seems far fetch and bloody rushed. And... you WILL look funny on Monday.....make a choice, Lady !

So far... I am damn pleased.... maybe now its too long !!! (never my complaint in my life ) LOL

Cheers

Supposedly next week... but as my rims were extensively stitched better to wait and let the tissues to heal. I can remove it myself actually. It can be painful done by someone else anyway, especially now that my nosrils are so pretty and oval shaped (small).

I was told by Dr Kao and he was very pleased with most of them. Hey... his work has certainly been flying his flag high and mighty with honesty and integrity, which sets him apart from the rest. I`ve never met someone so laidback and easy as him in any medical field, especially in Cosmetic Surgery and YES ... I`ve no baby to it all. LOL

Hows your nose shape now with the swelling? I can tell you that your bridge will be prettier with slight but noticeable increase in height, and maybe a better tip projection/refinement, depending on how much was extracted from BOTH (???) Ears ...

Rib rocks for those who wants a solid well augmented bridge and above all, that refinement in tip projection and rotation :-) No silastic material can do that without risk of side effects.. oh.... how much money and time have been wasted all these years!!!!

Did you like the breakfast at all? I love the place especially more so as it is in Neihu, which is the prime and posy area in Taipei- look at all the apartments... aint they comparable to those here ????

Haha.... :-)

How are your 'emptied' ear/s doing? It will be much thinner = fragile = careful.

And, your tip should be extra bulbous now & enlarged bridge. LOL

Funny I managed to deflat it with light massages along the sides of the bridge but can`t help much with the tip, eh !!!

Looking forward to returning home tomorrow?
Don`t you just wanna shock your mates at work & others !! FUN

halo.. haha, i don't log on as frequently now but i do hope to answer any query you gals who are contemplating PS surgery might have. I did medpor for my chin, chuang suggested it coz it's more natural comparing to silicone. the first 3 months, my chin felt heavy but i am all well now, it's been a yr after my chin surgery now.
