I would like to check with you guys how do u pay for the surgery with Dr Kao? By credit card or cash? I am going to Taiwan for surgery with Dr Kao during the first week of May. I am having my nose and eye surgery ops with him. As the date draws nearer, I am getting more and more excited. Anybody will be there during the first week of May? Want to meet up? By the way, I am a guy and was wondering if any guy out there has double eyelid surgery performed by Dr Kao. During my email consultation with him, he told me that he performed double eyelid surgery as well. However, from the forum, I found out that most of them actually went to Dr Chuang or Dr Su for their double eyelid surgery.
I also wanna know if i should carry around thosands of dollors in cash... i think most ppl use credit card.... much MUCH more save. I wanna use debit but i dont think u can since the amount is much too high...

BTW i really wanna know something. Doctors do not provide the cold compress ice pack..... Im wondering when u buy your own.. where do u keep it? Since in the hotel they do not have refrigorator in the room..?

Hi Bliss,

Thier hospital onli accept CASH payment. By the way, which hospital Dr Kao will op u? Mine was at Tri-Service General Hospital, if u r going to the same hospital as mine, then wat u can do is to made access payment to the hospital. Cash in all ur money. At the end of the day, they will refund u all the access amt tat u've paid to the hospital in CASH. So u need not have to worry anymore ya... as for ice pack they do not provide. Get it at watsons, you'll need 2 of tat. Remember to requests for room wif refrigorator ya...

Hey guys.. I'm new in this forum but had been 'stalking' this thread since 2 weeks ago. I wanna get rhinoplasty cos my nose is so small! :( Initially, i wanted to find Dr Kim from BK clinic for my nose job as i've heard that korean celebs goes to him for PS. But after reading some bad comments and reviews about him (that he's 'work' is not as skillful as he said to be, doesn't bother & care much for patients after post surgeries, just wanna make fast $$..etc), i decided to give him a miss.

After reading and following this thread and gathering so many infos on rhinoplasty from so many experts here, i think Dr Kao is the best choice for me currently. Losta good reviews about him and i do feel safer putting my little piggy nose in his hands now.

I'd always wanted to get rhino for a long time, but am too afraid to go thru the pain, bruised, swelling..etc. But i think i'm ready to get a new nose now!

Reasons y i want a nose job:

My nose is too small for my big chubby face

My nose 'wings' are pretty round & fleshy and they're lower than the columella..exposing the nostrils (which makes me looks like a pig from front view). :?

I have a slight small hump on my bridge (but barely visible).

Need your advise guys.. Is it possible to use ear instead of rib cart? What are the effects from using the two materials and also the pros & cons? Don't really wanna use rib cart cos from what i read from those who used rip cart. The rip hurts after the anesthesia wears off. *Yikes!!*

I had just emailed Dr Kao regarding what i should do, procedures, charges..etc., and with my pictures attached. Hope he'll reply me back soon o! *will upload my piggy nose pic soon for u guys to comment*

Btw, thanks for sharing ur reviews, useful infos and experiences o.. *Muacks* :D

and who tends to make it a tad more slim and pionty?

Dr Kao or Dr Chuang?

Nose job/ rhino in taipei - seeking travel companion

Post by redruby2294 » Sat, 18 Apr 2009 7:05 pm

Hi,

Anyone heading to Taipei from mid May to mid June 2009 for nose surgery/ rhinoplasty? I will be there for about 3 weeks to a month (just bought myself a 1-way air ticket!) and would like to find a buddy to share accommodation cost (serviced apartment) and companionship during the miserable recovery phase. E-mail me at [email protected].
