moodie: The site you have is for the KaoShiung one - there's two 丽晶s, but one specializes in skincare and the other is famous for the mini incision surgery. Both are operated independently of each other and are not related.

The famous 丽晶 for double eyelid surgery is in Taipei, but I can't seem to find a website for it. Not sure if you can read Chinese, but this is the thread with the address and contact number for the Taipei 丽晶 and also clarifies that there are two of the same name....

Anyone planning to pay by credit card to Dr. Kao? Having second thoughts about bringing so much cash.

I'm also wondering whats the maximum that can be drawn from ATMs in Taiwan =X Would be appreciative if anyone has info.

re. payment at dr kao - you can pay with your credit card - but do let dr kao know in advance so he can help you make the necessary arrangements - not sure if both hospitals now accept credit cards... last yr, some said tri-service hospital did not take credit card, only kangning accepts.

note that some banks in taipei do not change SGD$ (very weird)

for me, i ended up going to the domestic airport (name escapes me now) where there were money exchange counters.

rate was competitive, better than what i changed in SGD.

do bring sufficient $$$ as its not tt easy to find a money changer (its not like in SGD where you can find them in abundance).

I heard about 丽晶 as well. It costs 25000 for their famous tiny incision method. I can't seem to find which doctor does the eyelid surgery though. Have you contacted this clinic yet?
Ya me too, I tried emailing her 3 weeks ago but never got any replies. Will be going Dr. Chuang instead. Dr. Jung was the fastest in replying, within the next day or so.

Yay so I managed to get an appointment with both Dr. Su and 丽晶 on the same day! I think the best way is to call...

I'm assuming register means when I reach the hospital and give them my personal details? It sounds so vague lol compared to "making necessary arrangements".

yep, after consultation with dr kao, you will also need to pop by the hospital to register yourself, & go for the necessary checkups (like blood test, xray etc)

at this time, you let them know your mode of payment.
