Whether or not they will allow you to come back in as a tourist is something I cannot say for sure. I do know the databases have the capabilities but whether they are set up to flag known carriers for HIV or not I do not know. They can set queries up for most anything but whether or not they regularly check for tourists who have applied for EP's or not I don't know. I guess there you may just have to play it by ear. Sorry, but I don't have any anecdotal evidence, just the possible scenarios that could happen. Like being refused entry and having to catch the next flight out. I really don't know.

Sorry to say, but you'll never work in Singapore again, at least with your current identity and the country's current laws.pinball wrote:any feedback guys? i may need your help so i can decide right away. thank you..
For social visits, I couldn't find any hard info, aside from some old news stories from 2000 about HIV-positive people already in Singapore on social visit passes being deported once their visa ended. Probably the best thing to do is just call ICA and ask point-blank -- you're already 100% definitely busted, so it's not going to make things any worse. Doesn't look good though...

I don't think there are too many, if any, other HIV positive people on this site. Matter of fact, you may be the first, so I doubt that there will be any "first hand" knowledge. I'd say you are frankly out of luck.

sg-gianni,
How did you get HIV? Did you still get to work in SG?

Hi
It is kindda late. But i would like the ask if the situation happened for those with syphilis.
I aas once diagnosed with syphilis and had it treated. So, my VDRL remained positive for life but at lowest titre. My doctor said i have been cured (as long as not higher than 1:8) but prone to infection again.
Technically, i do not have the bacteria while having the antibody currently. I have been at the lowest titre for the past 5 years now.
The question is: Will my Employment Pass being approved or rejected? Kindly advice

U can truthfully declare to the doctor. But for EP, they check for only HIV and TBGinoWong wrote:Hi
