Hello
Apologies if this question might sound a bit trivial. What bedding do you use? We are shipping our stuff in a few weeks and I was wondering whether to send the duvets (no giggling allowed) or not. Kids got lots of new pretty duvet covers before we knew about the move. bring or leave?
Many thanks
Lily

duvets would be a bit OTT as it is HOT in singapore. even with the air condition during the night, all you need is a light blanket. but if you are not paying for shipping, no harm in sending them.

i always crank down the temperature as far as it'll go - i can't sleep in singapore without the a/c. i'll wake up in a puddle of perspiration.
i use a duvet and i have many other singaporean friends who also use duvets and comforters and what not. you oughta bring 'em!

personal preference. I haven't used one in the 4 years I've lived in Asia. My teenage daughter is all wrapped up on a cover. If its not costing you $$, by all means bring them.

Don't worry about the duvets, but bring the covers. That way the beds will still look good and you get to use them.
I use our duvet covers on the beds and the kids just use them as light blanket/heavy sheet covering to sleep under.

i would definitely recommend bringing the covers b/c it's really difficult to find children's bedding that you like! we brought all our duvets... and i use one, my son uses a light one we bought at IKEA b/c the heavy one is too heavy for him and the baby sleeps with just a blanket (if that!). i would also stock up on towels, beach towels, sheets if you have the room and plan on staying awhile as the quality that you are used to is really expensive here. i was just back in the US last week and couldn't believe how inexpensive beach towels were compared to what you will find here.
