I know of a place that offers a space for Open Mic.. it's a bistro/bar along Beach Road. My friend and I was there on a wednesday night, they had a singer/guitarist performing.. understand from the owner, they do regular open mic, usually on Wed and Fri. customers who are dining in could also do song request or sing with the band.. depending who is on that night..

Forgot to mention the place. It's Laffio. They have a Facebook page.. my friend and I also tried their food, not bad.. totally value for money. had a good time.

the singer who was on the night when i was there could sing cantonese song and i did a song request. had a great time.. I spoke with the owner of Laffio, she is pretty flexible if they are customers who likes to sing too..

if looking for singing group, perhaps can try there to "scout" =)

So sorry! I went off on an 8th month humanitarian trip and I just got back. Btw, Are you guys still keen to sing? I got a great opportunity! We meet up every Sat afternoon, and we do have regular performance gigs.

PM me if you're interested!

Hey, I know this reply comes very late but is this recreational singing group still active? I used to sing in a choir many years ago. Or if anyone else is interested in starting a group, feel free to message me. Thanks
