Hi
I have recieved the bad news that I have entered an early menopause. Our Dr is willing to prepare me to recieve a donor egg but as we are a caucasian British couple it might be hard in Singapore. Does anyone know of a way to get a Caucasian egg here. Was thinking about a couple having IVF and gifting any extra eggs. We could maybe help towards the costs of the IVF (will have to check with hubby first though but sure he will agree.;
Hope this post makes sense as I have been rambling!
Thanks!

i understand some of the anxieties you and your husband may be sharing right now.
i'm unsure if this place is the best avenue to locate a suitable donor. has your OB-GYN offered any advice in this area? he/she may be able to point you in the right direction, at the very least.
otherwise you could consider contacting commercial banks as they have done basic medical screening and can offer an in-depth insight.
lastly, there are pros/cons you need to consider before using a stranger as a donor. be sure to go through this thoroughly with your physician before taking the plunge.

I'm not in a position to help you directly, but just wanted to encourage you to enquire wherever possible and don't forget to consider treatment outside Singapore.

So sorry to hear your news. Have you found the IVF support groups here in Singapore and contacted them about your needs. As a member of the twins group I know quite a few people who ahve gone through IVF here so can sound them out if you have no luck..
We were living in the UK when we started IVF but found it so absorbantly expensive that we flew first class to australia to ahve treatment and it was still cheaper.
I also know a lot of girls go down to Aus to have treatment. I did mine at Monash IVF and I know Sydney IVF is also good. I am sure there are some great ones in Perth and all of these have a good donor program of eggs, sperm and embryos.
Bessing with you and maybe see you in the multiples club soon
