Which Singapore math textbooks are Singapore schools using?

Post by kookidoll » Sun, 18 May 2008 12:58 pm

Hi all, I'm new to this forum. Can someone please help me with this: I'm trying to find out which Singapore math textbooks the Singapore primary schools are using today. I know there are 5 new series to replace the old Primary Mathematics 3rd Edition, but which one is the most popular in Singapore primary schools? Much thanks in advance.

Most schools these days use 'My Pals' which is quite simplified and easy to understand. However, in my humble opinion, the textbook enough will not be sufficient as it does not provide sufficient practice for the kids. I usually supplement it with a few assessment books for my students. Hope that helps!

The math books my P1 student is using is supplemented by numerous worksheets that give concrete examples. I think the textbook (and two workbooks) are great--perfect for Primary 1. My daughter is very keen on math, and I think the math games they teach and practice are to "blame". Sorry I don't know the proper titles for the books. I'll look tonight and reply soon.
