I haven't eaten there, but what about CHIPPY British Takeaway in the basement of Raffles City shopping centre?

I've passed it before... I guess I was a bit scared of being disappointed!

Give it a go and report back :P

AC :)

We should rename this thread - The Search for Proper Chips.
I'm sure someone is going to suggest making them yourself.

The chippy in the basement at Raffles City shopping centre is not good.

Not good at all... :(

And so the search continues.

Well I've had 40 years of making chips, all depends on getting the right spuds, to get a good chip! You can tell the right spuds, even when you are cooking, because they well start to go a nice glden brown. these are the ones, that taste like good old UK chips.

The Chinese are not really good at chip making by the way, always slice them too fat and chunky or they use frozen chips. The fat also plays a part!
