o boy. new york's kinda stretched out.

if you mean manhattan and just for a few days, then stick to the mid-town area.

there're heaps of things to do and see. get a city map and a taxicab map.

if you're there for the shopping, here's a little something i typed up for a friend just before thanksgiving...

Woodbury Common Premium Outlets
498 Red Apple Court, Central Valley
845-928-400 10am to 9pm

Take grayline bus from port authority bus terminal on 42nd street at 6 bucks a pop.

It takes about an hour but well worth it cos it has over 200 designer brands that offer about 25 to 65% depending on time of year!

Food courts, restaurants and atms widely available in this colonial village setting. Be sure to show your bus ticket at the customer svc ctr to get a VIP discount coupon booklet and pick up a guide at the food court which has a map and store listing.

Be sure to sign up at their website a few months in advance to get the latest deals and ecoupons!

40 E, 14 St, union sq, manhattan
212-674-2146 mon-thu: 8am-10pm, fri-sat:: 8am-11pm, sun: 9am-9pm

They have plenty of bags but tons of shoes! 30000 over pairs of shoes in all shapes and sizes! Kate spade! Miu miu! Marc jacobs! Beverly feldman! Chinese laundry! K-cole! Prada!

30 to 80 percent off, maybe more if you're lucky!

Filene's Basement
4 union sq South, manhattan
212-358-0169 mon-sat: 9am-10pm, sun: 11am-8pm

Remember the annual one day bridal gown sale that no self-respecting bridezilla would miss? Well, this is it!

But what you should check out are it's other stuff cos this place sells all sortsa shite at discount prices: designer labels like anne klein, moschino, dana buchman, xoxo(xo?), etc.

3 floors of branded stuff! And way below the big department stores! And prices are marked down based on the number of days it's been on da rack!

They also have stuff like furnishings, luggages, food (gourmet stuff too!) Section, and what not.

Like woodbury, sign up for their mailing list to get ecoupons!

Harmon cove outlet ctr and secaucus factory outlets
20 enterprise ave north, secaucus
201-348-4780, mon-wed: 10am-6pm, thu: 12pm-8pm, fri-sat: 10am-7pm, sun: 11am-6pm

Not too far from manhattan, in jersey you're gonna find some good shopping too! Take the 129 bus from the PABT at 42nd, 6.80 a pop!

They offer discounts of 40-60 percent on most brands, like levi's, liz claiborne, ck, bally, etc...

What's cool is that all the big stores in the city sticks their unsold stocks here! So you get clothes from this or (maybe?) next season!

Start out at harmon cove cos u wanna grab the brochures and maps cos it's pretty huge also.

My friend got levi's jeans for like 45 bucks each man! But can't be returned!!! So try before you buy!

Century 21
22 cortlandt st
Mon-fri: 8am-8pm, sat: 10am-8pm, sun: 11am-7pm

Plenty of queuing bastards dying to go in!

Plenty of stores selling all kindsa stuff but I refuse to hang around for fear my feet will drop off.

But this place has plenty of bags and shoes.

In general if you find stuff you like, they could be gone pretty soon cos lotsa people go to these places. So buy if you like and the price is right!

Wear comfy walking shoes! Check their return policy cos some places don't accept returns, even tho it's in usa.

Woodbury and secaucus is huge, so please don't plan other things on shopping day! You may not have time!
