Tanglin Nursery 2009 Mums group

Post by aussiemeg » Tue, 06 May 2008 9:40 am

Hello

I was wondering if there were any mums out there who are interested in starting a playgroup for children starting nursery at Tanglin in 2009. I thought it would be nice for the children to know each other before they start. Mine will be 3 years 10 months when they start.

You sure they are starting Nursery in 2009? My son has been on the waiting list for 1.5 years and still not confirmed place.
(sorry - should have added he'll be K1)

likewise we have a letter confirming acceptance to the nursery in Sept 2009 but no confirmation of placement. She will be 3 years seven months at the start date.

Hi yes I mean Tanglin Trust.

I put the boys names down when they were born in Oct 2005. Whilst I do not have a confirmation of place which will not be issued until next year we can be sure there are 125 places available but 10% of those go to the paying customers if there are any for nursery (ie the company buys a place but if they don't have anyone to fill it then it is available for the non company sponsored folks) and then there are the siblings who take some precedence but not necessarily total precedence as that too depends on registration timing and finally there is the 70% british rule in the school to be maintained overall but as I understand there is no problem with that and it rarely effects waitlists.

So anyone up for a meet

i think they may still have the core numbers for british students as i had to provide my sons british passport (i'm american) when we applied. honestly, i'm so over this school thing! i've now turned into one of "those" people who bangs on about schools... what happened to that girl who used to dance on tabletops
