Renn, pertaining to your health, the best answers may not be found in a forum. I can only imagine what you might be going through mentally and emotionally but that aside, I did google "miss period after abortion" and below are one of the more reassuring ans's
(however, reading online or hearing abt the experiences of others will reveal nothing about your own so at least have the doc assess you and let you know what could be going on).
Anyway, the ans wrote:

"Did you go for a follow-up checkup 2 weeks after your abortion? If not, please do so immediately. There is no way for a nurse to know that everything has been expelled from your uterus completely. Although there is no chance that you are still pregnant, some products of conception, like placenta or the umbilical cord, etc, may still be left behind and may cause an infection if not removed.

This is unlikely, however, especially if you have not had a high fever after the abortion.

It is completely normal for your period to be delayed, missed or too light to notice the first few months after an abortion. Now that you also took the depo provera injection, that is another reason why your menstrual cycle is very irregular. You should expect your cycle to be unpredictable for about 3-4 months after an abortion. Later, you should settle back to normal, though the Depo Provera could be influencing the regularity of your cycle also. I don't know too much about DP, you should ask your doctor about it.

It is also common to experience signs of pregnancy for 3-4 months after an abortion, because there are still some hormones from your pregnancy left over in your body. You could feel nausea, frequent urination, headaches, food cravings, etc.. but these symptoms should also go away within the next few months."

That was from http://en.allexperts.com/q/Abortion-132 ... tion-3.htm .
Check out these too:

You may be able to search for more info online but thing is, some of the info there are inconsistent. Either too scary/reassuring for the wrong reasons hence you should only take them with a pinch of salt. Those info may not even match your condition so it's safest to seek proper medical advise from the women's clinic or gynae you consulted.

You're supposed to have a follow-up, did you go? Even if you did, why not just give them a call and ask if you should have a cause for worry or not.

Either ways, it's best you revisit that gynae again. Your health and treasured fertility is something to take seriously, and in truth abortion already weakens your system so do take heed and takecare of yourself. *hugz*, may this worry be resolved soon! :)

this post is definitely late, but heck, better late than never.

for what it's worth, you should have gone for a follow-up after the termination for the OBGYNto check on scarring and to see if anything needs to be cleaned up.

at the same time, he/she will also be able to alleviate any of your worries. i hope by now, everything's good and proper.

you take care.

abortions shouldn't be judged on price. any doctor can technically perform that procedure.

but if the doctor isn't experienced, the patient could be under unnecessary risk.

infertility. perforated internal organs. inflammation. and more!

the patient should go to a qualified specialist (OBGYN) and have it done.

they will have the necessary equipment and knowledge to allay the patient's anxieties and worries.
