Lose weight through cycling

Post by melbournejustice » Thu, 01 May 2008 1:04 am

Hi, looking for a few people who are interested in training together for the National Runway Cycling & Skating 2008 which will be held on 25 May 08. The Shimano Endurance Challenge for cyclist is 45 km, which is the event I hope to join.

You can register at www.safra.sg/nrwcs or visit SAFRA club.

Doing this to lose weight. So, I have been eating too much.... I live in Tampines and I have a road bike that I use to ride to East Coast Part from Tampines. Takes about 20-30 mins. Trying to find a few people to ride from Tampines to East Coast together. Not interested in training to win a race, but simply to lose weight, and have some fun and laughter along the way.

I've signed up for the 45km Shimano Endurance Challenge for cyclists. But I don't think I'm going to train for it though. Though I rarely cycle, I have no problems cycling for a few hours at a stretch. I've cycled only 4 or 5 times only during the past year or so, but each time I cycled for at least 2 hours.

This weekend I may go cycling from East Coast to Changi Village & back - takes about 3 - 4 hours. Do let me know if you're interested to join me.

Hey Melbourne,

We seem to be looking for the same things (hot chicks, cheap drinks & cool crowd)...

Although I can't join you on the hot chicks (my finance would likely kill me) I am looking to lose weight by playing football, but also on the road...

We move into our flat in a couple of weeks at which point I will buy a bike and then after that I would be well up for exploring Singapore by bike...
