School Session Timings in Singapore Schools

Post by kumprashant » Sat, 26 Apr 2008 10:24 pm

Just wanted information on the school session timings in Singapore. I heard that you need to drop a class if you come from India where session is from March-April .

Is there no way that the ward can continue in the same class in Singapore.

Would appreciate your suggestions/replies.

Thanks

While waiting for an answer, try peruse the MOE site:

Hi, from what I understand, your child will have to sit for admission tests administered by the schools/MOE which will ascertain which level he or she is suitable for. I believe it is for the good of the child that this is done because it ensures that the child is of about the same standard as his peers. Also, the syllabus in India's schools might not be the same as the syllabus in the local schools here, so these are things you might wish to consider. In any case, do visit the Ministry of Education's website at www.moe.edu.sg . You should be able to find more useful information there. Good luck.
