Don't quote me on that I don't have either. I'm with Lloyds in the UK and they are abyssmal. Asked me to fill in a form and post it back to them! Welcome to the 21st century eh!
hey, if you want the easiest way to move money from UK to singapore, then get yourself a nationwide flexaccount VISA Debit Card. you can withdraw cash at any ATM in singapore showing the VISA logo. and the exchange rate, believe me, it is the best at interbank rate and without any commission. even the local money changer cant beat the interbank rate.

only one slight catch... you can only withdraw about S$800 per day as that's the max you withdraw in the UK (£300 per day).

citibank works for me

suprised that people don't like citibank as it works perfect for me. I have everything consolidated there and it was very easy to set up.

Yes the 1% for deposiitng/withdrawing money is stupid but it is the same with all bank here. I would ask your company to cover that if you can.

I'm with POSB/DSB. I chose them because they are ubiquitous. You can practically spit on the next branch over anywhere in Singapore. Which is kind of what I'd like to do. I don't like them.

Complaints -
1. Excessive fees ... applies to just about anything besides depositing money and using the ATM.
2. Internet banking requires you to go to the branch, fill out a paper form, and get a 'hard token' in the mail before you can use internet banking. It kind of defeats the purpose.

On the plus side, they ARE everywhere. And opening an account is really pretty easy.

remersonh,

Sums them up pretty easily. That's why I use 'em as well.
