Post by Zeenit » Sun, 20 Apr 2008 10:41 pm

I'm guessing you want to buy a new mobile from the UK which can then be use with a Singapore SIM card?

Yes I am sorry I had not made myself clear. I am thinking of buying a new one in the UK. But then again I am not sure of prices.
What it would cost for a N95 (Nokia) in SG.

Mobiles tend to be very expensive in Singapore but the price plans a lot cheaper.

A N95 will cost you in the region of S$800 with a 2 year contract

mobile fones are not heavily subsides by the provider, therefore will cost a lot more. also, you are usually locked into a 2-years contract. if you want to use a UK mobile with a local SIM, make sure your mobile is unlock.

i think (not 100% sure) vodafone will unlock the fone for you after 1 year and "3" will unlock it for £15. o2 and orange - about £20-£25.

You save money in Singapore..the new 95 is 1000 without contract I believe..I have sold the ones i bought in Singapore each time I've been to UK, for profit.

I bought the 95 while in UK, and never use it, it's too bulky for me, after all the slim phones i have had, so I am waiting to sell it again back in UK, its unlocked but its the old model...I have also 3 other phones too, to get rid of.

The first 95 model is only 550$ here, that's why i don't sell it here, I gave 250 for it, in UK unlocked, also have the wireless headset.

I hate the 95, to heavy and bulky for me!
