I can try again no problem, I'm 25 minutes away, I knew you would also have difficulty communicating, it wasn't easy for me either, some people have little experience in conversational English, like the girl working there. But not a problem for me...

I also believe they can be recovered, although I'm not that specialist you need! I believe files, that go into recycle bin, when deleted, may not be fully deleted, but hidden someplace on the drive. Only a full Fdisk will wipe it clean. But I cannot say for definate! Although the girls knowledge is limited too. I will try Monday if possible, have the International hotel & food exhibition on this week at the expo, busy Tuesday until Thursday! see what i can do!

now, here's the low down on data recovery. the long you leave it, the slimmer the chance of recovering anything. when you delete a file, the entry in the OS will mark it as deleted but the file is still within the magnetic particle in the HDD. but as more data/file get written on the HDD over time, the file within the magnetic particle will get written over.

data recovery is a long process. i hope the shop will have the time and software for data recovery.

You bet! I have nearly 200.000 air miles but its such a pain in the backside getting to use them...shame i can't cash them in, although I'm now thinking of using some on a trip to Japan.

The files, yes, thats what I thought too, there's not much chance, but if the own of the cafe, is willing to help out....

I do know quite abit of DOS, although its very limited now with XP and Vista, and I have never used it since the mid 80's early 90's, I had the old Commodore for years, maybe i can get to glance on the hard disk. Yes it all depends on the cafe owner i guess. but at 4$ an hour, it's not a great deal to lose, but the recovery is something else, quite a few weeks have gone by now., and alot of files have been deleted.

I meaned not about recovering deleted files from recycle bean.
But also, it would be cool! And in this case, i will think how make you materially thank, I promise now.
What i'm saying i'll do it if my file would be accessible for me by any way

I have a little hope, i remember my doubts, then i saved file into RB. My file can be the same time saved in root directory, C:\
Like C:\1.zip.
or
C:\RASKIN\1.zip

PC is second right side from exit, i think its number is 2

Also, i have a DOS 7.0 installation pack with utilites like undelete.exe and unerase.exe if you really wish to have a sex with recovering files.
Only if you really really want to do it - i can't ask about it cause i have a little bit of conscience

Try downloading this little program and putting it on a thumbdrive then run it on the machine. I've been using it for several versions now and it's the bees knees for that kind of thing. It recover deleted files (of course what shape they will be in will depend on the traffic that has transpired on the machine) and is great for grabbing files off HDD's that have had their MRB's screwed up as well. It's free and effective.

In January 2004, Mrs S left her mobile in a back of a Taxi while travelling from CBD to Upper East Coast Road. I wonder if you might be able to locate said Cab and ask the driver (A Chinese guy in his 50/60s) whether he found a mobile on the back seat. The Cab was a Toyota Crown model and was either blue or yellow with a black interior and there was an assortment of Buddhas on the dashboard. I believe the cab itself might have had a few mechanical problems, for instance, the gearbox must have been permanently stuck in 3rd and the indicators didn't work. The cab was last seen been erratically towards Bedok.

In fact just over two hours ago, some jerk had reversed into our brand new Nissan van, no serious dents, although the paint was took off, closer investingation, showed lime green paint, So I searched the 3 busy car parks, because this had happend within 1 hr of my arrival, which ment, the person had just arrived for shopping.....the jerk thought he had escaped... I was checking several vehicles of that colour, then I put my head together and realised the vehicle that had done it, had to be a vehicle, higher than a car, and couldn't be a wagon, and the bumper had to be the same colour, of what i found.

I spotted it from 25 yds, and beamed over, two guys sat in the front, and they quickly realised I was checking the vehicle, I could see them looking in the mirrors, and they shot off like a rocket, although did they get away? The bumper was damaged, the paint colour matched, and I would say, by the look of the corner of the bumper, mine was probably not the first one to be hit! the bumper was lime green paint

Although will the police do anything? I have my doubts! But just by looking at them, I would say, they wouldn't dream of washing the back bumper, so the evidence will be there for a while.

I'm just so relieved they got away really, Although its a marked van now, in my area!

Hey by the way, I have had all driving groups for over 30 years now, but when I changed my licence, they only give the car...can i still claim, the other groups? I have them all!

Not that I will use my heavy goods class 1 license now, but it's always handy!

Sounds like they did the same thing to you as they did to me 25 years ago when I converted my license here!

I had what Louisana calls a class 3 & 4 Chauffeurs License with riders which meant I could drive anything with wheels and for hire as well. When I converted in '83 they told me that I couldn't use a class 5 here as you needed a Work Permit to do so (I lived here on a tourist visa for the 1st 11 years as I worked offshore and only lived in Singapore). So they gave me a Class 3 & 4. I didn't ask for the class 2 at the time as I had no plans back then to ever buy a bike here. In hindsite, bad move as how was I supposed to know I would eventually be given a 750 Magna? Anyway, still driving on the class 3 & 4 but sometimes which I had gotten the Class 5 or Taxi/bus chauffeurs license here.
