Apartment/Condo Close West Jurong Area

I will be moving to Singapore this June 2008. I will be working in the West Jurong area. Can anyone make any suggestions for an apartment/condo close to a MRT stop? I am looking for a nice western style 2-3 bedrooms, furnished preferred and in the $3000 or less Singapore Dollar range. Also, can anyone provide estimate for reasonable used small car - similar to corolla. Thanks in advance for your help.

By the way, it takes 15 mins to reach Jurong West by taxi.
If you take an MRT, it takes 20mins.
there is eatery downstairs if you are lazy to cook

Anyone lived in a west facing home? How do you bear with the heat?
I've been in 2 homes with west sun and it's scorching and my electric bills always...
