Getting rid of Ants, advice required

Post by Patrick777 » Wed, 09 Apr 2008 10:59 pm

We got ants in our condo and they are driving me mad ... Does anyone know any decent products / brands we can try before getting professionals in .. If not does anyone know any reasonable priced professionals to get rid of them?

Thanks in advance

Patrick

We used to get so many little ants in our place especially in the kitchen, so we bought some ant traps from Giant...they are great, at first the ants increase as they come to the traps and then take the poisen back to the nest, we still get the odd few but we hardly see any here anymore.

Hope this helps

Helen

Hey thanks for the advice, you wouldn't happen to know what brand the traps were would you, we've tried one brand and not really noticed any difference? these ants are the tiny ones, are they the same ones you were having issues with?

thanks

I had ants in Singapore. But wait...they are worse in Brunei!! Consider them a type of protein. :o

Worst case scenario there is a whole list of pest control firms on my links page.

Do I smell a conflict of interests here? :P

Back to the topic...

OP We used one that comes in a small box (don't remember the name, but there were 2 types of boxes, one with Chinese writing and the other in English, but same product). It contains small grains that you spread around and was very effective for us. We used it once 3 months ago and haven't had a problem with ants since. I'd be careful if you have small children around though, as I don't see it being healthy for them if they ate it.

Heaven forbid! You will notice the list is an equal opportunity one. I did not recommend any of them (even have our competitors there as well). :P
