How much for studio apartment on 'red MRT line' up to Yishun

Post by frenzal » Sun, 06 Apr 2008 5:38 pm

As the topic states. How much should I expect to pay for a studio apartment situated on the red line? My preference would be around Ang Mo Kio, but would consider any distance up to 20mins away from Orchard.

Cheers :)

firstly, there's not much "studio" apartment in singapore. secondly, you are looking to rent or buy?

yes, i know that unfortunately there aren't many studios :( i just don't like the idea of being an adult but living with other people. i like my privacy.

i am looking at renting (and not spending too much money on rental)

Condos

Not many studios around, you'd probably have to look at 2 rooms, ranges from $3,000 onwards. Not many condos in Ang Mo Kio area, except maybe Grandeur 8 and Nuovo. The rest are old or are cluster houses.

Good considerations are Toa Payoh (Trellis Towers 1 room available but limited units), Yishun and Bishan.

Or just get an HDB -- plenty of those along the North-South Line, and rentals are cheaper than condos.

thanks. looks like it'd have to be an HDB. $3,000 for a single person who's going to be a grad is a bit too much :p
