I submitted all the necessary documents to her... She informed me that during the time when she was applying online, it only requested my degree and birth certificate... and those were the only documents she sent.... i asked her why she did not send the others, and she said that it did not provide a field for them...

I then asked her why she didn't choose to submit it manually as she could include all the necessary documents... She replied, when applying online, the result will be faster... Well, now it's slower cause it wasn't done properly.. I have to wait another 3 weeks for the appeal process... at least...

However, I'm not sure if that's the reason to blame... As for the appeal, I went down to the office to make sure everything is filled out properly and all the documents to be submitted are actually included... (cause somehow I don't trust this HR lady..) so I'm just sitting tight and awaiting for the result... not much I can do now...

Finally, my EP was approved... Been waiting and waiting... Almost to the point where I really didn't care anymore... Just wanted to go home... But glad everything is settled...

Hey,

I know this is a bit of an old thread but in response, I'm experiencing it right now!

I was declared no longer a citizen in January and no request was made for me to serve NS since my parents migrated to Australia when I was an infant, 11 months old. I've never had a NRIC, Passport or any notification or communication from CMPB, MINDEF etc. And I've never returned until now...

Because I was offered an internship at UBS but I haven't started because I'm waiting for my Training Employment Pass. It got rejected by CMPB even though I've been waiting 2 months in Singapore for them to resolve my case and dismiss me and I paid a $1000 fine which really hurts as I don't have a lot of money.

Anyway the company has appealed, I've written a personal appeal letter as well because they want explanation as to why I didn't serve - I guess I have to do what I've become really good at now... wait... : (

Financial crisis makes me all the more insecure because my internship is in IB! : (

I've taken the postings here as advice for me to inform my HR lady (don't trust her either...) and as hope.

I'll let you know how it goes,

Cheers

actually you can go to mom and ask the officer why your EP rejected.
MOM won' tell to the employer what the reason of rejection.

Just like me my spass got rejected then i went to MOM and they explained the reason.Just go to the receptionist counter then tell that your EP rejected and want to talk with the officer then they will give you the number of the room.

bring along your fin number for checking.

There will be many reasons.

good luck,
