23yo male Swede looking for job opportunities in Singapore

Post by akrunner » Tue, 01 Apr 2008 1:46 pm

Hi,

I am looking for a permanent job in Singapore. I am a Swede with a Master degree in International Business, but didnt really have any full-time working experience. I have a Singaporean gf and am looking forward to stay in Sg for a few years.

May I know hows the job market over there? Is it easy for me to get a job? And hows the salary range for a master degree holder like me? Anyone has any job openings? I am thinking of going to Sg in mid-June

Please help!

A Master's Degree holder without experience is not any difference than a Batchelors degree holder without experience. It is very doubtful that you have anything to offer a potential employer. They don't need people who can take exams, they need people who can bring experience to the table (That what Expats generally do). What I would suggest is that you find a relevant position at home for 2 or 3 years to get some real-world experience so you actually have something to offer. Masters degrees are a dime a dozen in Singapore.
