There are a few shop at far east plaza who have very good price for phones.

I've seen them at Lucky Plaza on the ground or basement floor, for about $1000 Sing. I believe they are being launched in September, I'd wait till then.

FYI, last week I saw unlocked iPhones for SGD800 in SimLim tower (upper floors). The phone even worked with an M1 pre-paid simcard. Just remember that unlocked phones are not officially supported by Apple.
