EP and freelance jobs

Post by admin0 » Thu, 27 Mar 2008 1:22 am

Hi,

Can an EP holder working full time for company-A be engaged in part time freelance jobs like tuition or web programming etc?

Is it allowed or prohibited ?

Where can I find out what an EP holder can do and cannot do? I did not find this info in the MOM website.

Thanks,

The answer is no....you cannot work anywhere else, other than your work place, that is the whole idea of the employment pass, to control your working environment.

Point 5 on this link, explains the responibilities of your employer. if you get caught, the punishment is quite sever, for both the employer and yourself.

Jens, could you be so kind as to post the link where you got that information? I would appreciate it as I've been looking for a long, long time, as an HR Manager, and have never seen anything to allude that you can do this while on any kind of Work Pass whether it be WP, S, Q, P 1or 2.

Thanks,
