Hello,
We are looking for a part time cook who can prepare Indian food (preferably South but North is also acceptable) and manage our kitchen for the next 3-4 months. We are a small family of 4 living near Sin Ming Avenue (Upper Thomson). The requirement will be Monday to Friday, anytime between 8am and 4pm.
Thank You.

No specific recommendation but just thinking laterally would have me go to one or two restaurants whose food I like and see whether they have a chef who has some free time betweek the lunchtime and evening shifts who would like to earn some more money.

What I find interesting is why Indian people typically stick to their home country's cuisine even after moving overseas? I find that most Westerners tend to eat more diverse food. Non-Indian Asians typically also change quite a bit (particularly the younger ones). However, in my experience, Indians will continue eating Indian food.
Could someone share some insight?

Yeah thats right.Sometimes , I also ask myself this question. Why dont I try some other cuisine, instead of going to Indian restaurants. Eventually I still end up going to North Indian restaurants to eat naans,

..
But when I do end up going to India, I always yearn for our Singaporean local cuisine

haha good point :p
When an Indian duo criticised Japanese food for being 'too bland' I was surprised, though. Naan = bread! I love japanese food. In fact, I love all food apart from big chunks of meat, such as steak (and I'm a Westerner so I should like steak!).

Fish is super expensive. Otherwise from my neighbourhood coffeeshop can still get economy rice for 2 people (1 meat 2 veg) for about $7.
